Weekend Speckles

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Sorry if this is off topic, but this implies something I did not know - stocked fish have clipped fins. Correct? Which fins?

Great specs BTS ..puts a big smile on a guys face.Sorry to side track your thread , however...here is an response for wheresdad

The MNR discontinued clipping of stocked fish a few years back, not sure if it was a labour issue ??. In the 70 and 80's they used to alternate between the Adipose fin, Left & right Pectoral or the Left & right Ventral Clip on speckles and splake . Here is a link of interest

Like Mike said, best ones I've seen all year. Gotta love the days when the bigguns come out.

Like tip-up, I'd also be interested in dimensions if you have them.

Good fishing guys, if that's your last trip you closed the season a high note.
