BLIND ANGLERS TOURNAMENT ( NANGOR RESORT )

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

BLIND ANGLERS TOURNAMENT ( NANGOR RESORT )

Post by LORENZO »

I am heading out to NANGOR saturday to check out the blind tournament that the LIONS CLUB is putting on. Althought I am going there as a spectator, I think this will be a great experience for me. I hope that maybe that I will get an invatation to be one of the participant an not a spectator next year. Are they any others who will be going to this event.

Have you ever been there before? It's a great spot to fish, I was up there on the long week-end. In the 3 day's we caught well over a hundred walleye and suager, and that was with a cold front blowing in, also the water level was up pretty high and current was also pretty swift! Not that I would know if that would make a difference or not! ( I don't normally fish for walleye) It was my first time there and will not be my last! If you do fish the tourney or for fun, as soon as you get out of the bay stay to your left hand side the water drops from about 10ft to 20 -30ft ,drift a jig head with a minow. We caught over 40 fish there on the sat. morning, after you drift for 100 -150 ft go back and keep doing it , I guarantee you will have a good time and be very productive! Also drift in between the island's!

I will be returning there in july august and sept. It's already booked and can't wait. I'm also looking forward to fishing muskie up there!

Good luck and let me know how you did!

Being totally serisous and not meaning to poke any fun but something strikes me as ironic about saying you are going to be a spectator at a blind anglers tournament.

( FISHER) Yes It's just past westmeath! As for your wife there is the bonnechere cave's near cobden there's white water rafting, water sking volley-ball, mini-put, and a restaurant, the best thing is they will book it all for you! And yes they have a concrete boat launch right on the huge beach, they have docks there but most people just beach the boat in front of there cottage!

Truly a great spot and bring the kid's if you have them they will love it!
