Fish of a lifetime, and something to be proud of for years to come.
Maybe you'll even catch it again in a few years and have a new personal best again!

Hey! Tyl!!!
I kind of wanted the last word on this tread about your catch buddy because I think it's important you know this.
I was about your age when I went fishing for the first time with my dad and my uncle. That day I was able to pull a 6 pound pike out of the water. Like you I remember shaking of joy and fear. I also remember how proud my dad and oncle where at the time.
This moment had turned on a passion in me that I knew was forever.
Since then fishing as allways been the love of my life. It gives a sense to my life as well. Everytime I get a nice fish I still feel the same way as the first time I got that pike and that is what it's all about!
Tyl, I am really happy for you buddy!!! This catch will allways be something you will remember that I know. It is part of you now! In life, the best things for you can't be bought with money....they need to be lived. You had the privelege to live something special......it as change you life for ever!!!...and for the better!
sincerely,
be safe on the water allways buddy!

Hi BB444,
That means a lot to me that you said that because you always catch really big bass and love it so much. I thought you didn't see my bass picture and Mom's post. I will never forget that day, neither will my Mom. We talk about what that fish might be doing and if it is OK. It's something we wonder about.
I would like to catch a big pike next like yours.
I can't wait until we can fish again at the cottage and got a lot of good lures at Christmas, and maybe in my Easter basket tomorrow.
Thanks, BB444.
Tight lines,
Ty

Once again nice fish Tyler
when I caught my 1rst bass I was about your age and it was a 3lbs smally
not as big as your but back then it was a nice fish caught at my uncle cottage in Quebec near Mont Laurier fishing off is dock and let me tell I was so exited when I went to tell the gang I fall head first in maybe 4" of water
. I still got pictures of that fish at home.
When you posted that report Wolfe I was happy to see something nice like that because it was when I was upset when my friends fiance got killed in that accident
. It make me some hapiness again in me.

Somehow I missed this post when it went up the first time, glad to catch it on the rebound!
I did not read all of the posts, but a 22" bucketmouth with a belly like that is north of six pounds, in my experience. LOTS of anglers fish for a lifetime and never catch one like that.
Well done Ty! And I reckon we might just meet you this summer on Wolfe Lake when my family will be up there at a cottage.
Maybe you could guide me?
Doug
