We arrived @ Redwood lodge 8pm, on the way Pete wanted to try his Sat. phone so we stopped here @ one of the lakes u drive around on the 50 miles of dirt roads.

That night we launched the HMCS Avro Arrow and sat on a flat calm lake till after midnight,he's never heard a loon or a moose calling,he got to here both that night.
The next mornin we were up early, someone forgot to close the back door and there was frost on the wind shield, after a brief diccussion on breakfest we grabed the beer and headed out. Pete lost his first fish, after that he had 2 in the boat 1 released one eaten, his never had LT before.

As we came in around noon on our first day,the camp owner was waiting for us,a quick scan of the night before and both decided we weren't in trouble

Pete's father was very sick and had passed away that mornin. So we decided it wasn't a good idea to head to the airport that day. Pete wanted to go fishin his father was a big fishermen and was thrilled when Pete told him he was going to Canada Fishin.
We restocked and headed back out fishin. Pete got his 2nd fish of the day.
I took him up to the falls that lead into the lake and was thrilled to say the least.
Sunday mornin we left Whiskey Lake and headed to the Toronto airport, dropped him off at 1pm and headed wayyyyy back up to the lake.
The next mornin I got a 5lb LT and a few 3lbers. All toll for the week 20 in the boat all released but 3 the biggest a 10lber.
Water temp leveled off from my first trip,at 50-55 F. I was fishing in 40fow down 25-35. Had 1 hit, I popped the rod and as it was coming up I had a slight hit, many times I'd hook them after I popped the rod. So as I ran my 30' of line out I was hooking it to the rigger when he hit,the line burnt my hand as I set the hook

A pic. of what greeted me every mornin.
