I hunted moose there for years and the only white moose we ever saw was mounted at the Northern Lights restaurant in Foleyet.
...but they do say there is a white strain there. Saw lots of moose, but just the normal kind

specs........

quarter-ounce Panther Martin spinner with silver blade and yellow body with red spots, dressed with about an inch and a half of dew worm, retrieved just fast enough to turn the blades.

This time of year, that far north, I am thinking that a large dead bait under a float would be the ticket for pike. I am thinking mackerel or some similar oily fish that you can buy frozen whole in the fish section of the supermarket. That is NOT personal knowledge, just opinion based on pike fishing early season quite a bit further south (Key River area).
