What is everyones 'Go-To' Lure?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Even better, just worm and no bobber.

Worms are not ''Lures'' but live bait

No need to thank.

White &/or white with black spinnerbait.

YUM plastic worm either Carolina or TX rigged.

Jighead with paddle-tail or fluke tailed (plastic minnow) trailer.

That's 3, not 1, but they each get quite the work-out on an average outing.

With regard to surface bait fav's, it would have to be:

Heddon Torpedo

Zara Spook

(Still trying to learn the "patience grasshopper" skills required to fall in love with Scum Frogs and the like.)

Is it possible that the fishing host was recommending not to cast a buzzbait 'into' the wind when using a casting reel?....could be alot of hang time in the air and the spool still turning...

If I had that duck lure, that would be it. Even if it didn't catch anything!!

Otherwise:

Worm/Minnow/Leech on a hook/jig anytime

Pink or white grub (3" to 5'") on a jig anytime

Storm Hot'n'Tot in summer. Love this lure.

X-rap/husky jerk on shoreline structure/reefs anytime. These lures are awesome.

Senko/Yum dinger for bass in the weeds. Can't beat the action of a Senko wacky rigged.

Any topwater (Zara spook, jitterbug, hula popper, storm chug bug, whatever plastic frog) for bass in the pads. Nothing is better than catching bass on a topwater.

Black/Blue bucktail jig in thick weeds for walleye. Poking pockets can be productive.

Reef runner deep diver when I troll for suspended walleye. I love these lures for trolling. They have so many colors it's addictive.

Spinnerbait when I am searching structure. You really can't beat a white spinnerbait when you're working structure.

Tube when I am at a good dropoff. Tubes rock for pike and bass.

Williams half and half when I am ice fishing. These spoons, in all colors, are incredibly productive when ice fishing for trout or whitefish.

Inline bucktail spinner or spinnerbait for musky. Can't beat a bucktail or spinnerbait when you're tossing casts all day.

1" or 1.5" tube (white or pink to start) for crappie/other panfish. Nothing compares besides live bait.

If I was truly limited to 1, it would be live bait or a plastic grub. Everything will go after these at any time of the year in any weather condition. How can you beat that?

Otherwise,I am still working through my lure inventory......some of my baits haven't even seen water yet!
