I hit long-island tonight, wasn't very successful fish-wise, but it was great to be out fly-fishing/wading again...
The water is very high and fast... it was very slow going and dangerous. I think that the water-temp is high enough that if you fell in you'd likely be very cold, but ok. Still, i'd not recommend it.. haha...
Anyhow, just letting you all know, Long-Island, the upper part, was fun and is fishable, but high water and very fast.
