annual charleston lake trip getting close

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

annual charleston lake trip getting close

Post by prcab »

Just checking to see if anyone will be fishing Charleston lake anytime from 7/17 - 31. I will again be back this year with my family for our two week relaxing fishing vacation. What started out as my wife and three daughters is now down to wife and one daughter due to kids getting older finishing college and going off to school. Next year it will be just my wife and I. Charleston lake has been one of the greatest fisheries we have found and have been coming back for years. The lake trout and smallmouth/largemouth have never let us down. If you are going to be in the area let me know and maybe we can share some hot spots and fish stories.

I'll be fishing it on July 23rd....meeting up with of group from Bass Boat Central. So far, I will likely only fish the one day but I may extend it another day if the weather is good and the fish bite.

Hey PRCAB,
that's awesome that you return every year to enjoy Charleston Lake with your family. I was checking out an Ohio forum the other day and there are a lot of posters that came up to Buckhorn or Rice lake or even one of the big Quebec reservoirs yearly until they had a bad week of fishing, weather related or not, blamed the fishery, then just gave up and no longer come up here. I hate hearing stories like that because it gives the whole Ontario/Quebec fishery a bad rap. I'm glad you have a positive attitude and enjoy the lake, scenery, fishery, and friends you meet, with your family. I hope you have a GREAT vacation!
