Canmoore - Easily done - some maps are in Metres, some in feet, some don't indicate the depth units. 136M = 446ft
I used to fish Simcoe with my dad, back in the 70's. I have fond memories of following the Christmas Tree lined ice roads, drilling holes, freezing our behinds while Dad enjoyed some snakebite to take the edge off the cold...
One particular day, I was around 8yo, I caught the "BIGGEST FISH EVER". What was even more exciting, it was a double header... my brother and I each had a lunker on our lines. After a good 5 minutes of fighting, I looking over at my brother, and noticed that whenever I would gain on my fish, he was losing line to his.
Eventually Dad straightened us out, made one of us give up, the other pulled both lures up and untangled the mess....

I used to live just outside Barrie, I have lots of great memories with Simcoe. Every spring my uncle and I would go to the mouths of a creek, with huge nets and catch hundreds of rainbow smelt. Than we would take them home and fry them up!!
I have also caught lots of huge smallmouth, and simcoe's world famous Jumbo Perch!!
When i first learned to scuba dive, we dove alot in Kempenfelt bay, and big bay point. Let me tell you..there are ALOT of crayfish in simcoe..and big ones to! So use crayfish imitating lures for smallies.
