I was away last week fishing with a a bunch of friends.
One day one of the guys (Des) was at the launch (about 7 km from our cabin) with his girlfriend and was next in line. He had almost finished getting ready to back in when another truck and boat drove up and he motioned for the other guy to go ahead of him, just to be nice. The other guy starts backing in and Des' girlfriend gets out of their truck and starts laying into him for jumping the line and asking him why he thought he was so special that he could get in front of them. A real tirade. The guy took it all in and when she finished yelling, he just said " sorry, your boyfriend said I could go first".
Well she was embarrassed about that, but when they finished the day of fishing, they got back to the ramp and the guy who had taken the berating was there getting ready to get his truck. He stopped and said you go first. She said "No" it is OK".
He said in a loud voice, "Let this lady go first, she is in a real rush"
So everyone waited for Des and his girlfriend to load up and leave.
The best part was that when Des was telling us this story, the guy that had been yelled at pulls into our outfitters yard, and he is staying 2 cabins over from them for the rest of the week!
She was really embarrassed then.
Just shows you should always be nice to peole at the ramp.
Super

These stories are entertaining... from a third person point of view...
Cutting the trailer off sounds more like urban legend to me and agree taking things to a criminal level (destruction of property) is never a good idea...
I get screwed some times cause the Manotick Launch is a crappy little dock, and I go solo... So people who can drop one guy at the dock to go get the truck/trailer in line bump my position.. I have to really pay attention and find a way to dock my boat as fast (and safely) as possible to ensure that I can go join the line in my truck...
I've never seen someone actually leave a truck/rig right in the launch area before.. and I would say that I'm not sure how I would react... I guess first, by calling a tow-truck/police.
