Off to Nova Scotia :)

Well I am on vacation at 6pm today.
Tomorrow I fish with Lawrence and The Blind Fishing Boat in the Renegade Pro Am then on Sunday I fly out to Nova Scotia and shark fishing on Blue Shark Charters out of East Passage. I here they the Blues, Macos and Thresher sharks are hitting well.
Then Off to Canning N.S. to see the Bay of Fundy and Tidle Bore Rafting then to Digby to go Whale watching out of a zodiac.
Then to Liverpool to go on a Lobster boat.
Then to Peggy's Cove to go deep see fishing
and so on.

Looking forward to the escape.

I will post pics when I get back.

If you get a chance, consider going mackerel fishing. You can catch them with a rod and reel or jig them with a traditional hand line with 5 or 6 hooks (heavy lead-weighted hooks or multi-coloured streamers with a weight at the bottom of the line).

Having 4 or 5 mackeral going in different directions at the same time when you haul them up is quite an adventure. Not to mention that they are the absolute best eating fish in the world. Well, at least from this Cape Bretoner's humble perspective.

Have a great trip. Sounds like some terrific adventures lined up. I'm not sure if the striped bass are still running this time of the year, mackeral are definetly a hoot and great tasting. Shad might be finished by now. Too early to pick up some great apples from the Annapolis Valley though.

Here's another Caper who agrees. I can't wait to throw some fluorescent skipping rope covered hooks in a couple of weeks and reel them in 5 at a time.

Just got back in. Wow what a trip!!!!!!

If you are ever in Nova Scotia look up Art at Blue Shark Charters and he will put you on fish.

The biggest was 87" and weighed over 175lbs.
