even PHOTOSHOP is use at catch and release derbys.

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Just a thought.
Now that possibility, just makes too much sense Grant

As for photoshoping pictures it's been common for guys to hide backgrounds but it's getting stupid out there, some moron has posting on another site a picture with an edited shoreline but he also blanked out the boat color? Is he ashamed that he was fishing with someone else?

This guy didn't post a word just an edited picture, next think you know they will edit shorelines, boats, anglers and fish, so why bother posting pictures?

OK so this guy caught a big fish in a red boat, lets follow all the red boats around. LOL I can guarantee you bigger fish are caught in all color of boats each and every year. LMAO

He just posted a picture to boast his ego and nothing more, BTW he's fishing the easiest area to produce big fish day in and day out. Anybody can catch big fish there.

I think you don't need to post pictures if you're going to edit the crap out of them, why won't anyone think the fish was edited as well? It's like reporting a big fish in a contest ( used for scientific research purpose ) and saying it was caught on X lure in Lake X and in the wrong Province, sean that done so many times it's sickening. Totally useless information for the purpose of the contest where stroking the ego sure is obvious, if everything else is omited or lied about what makes you think the size of the fish is the truth?

Makes you wonder why guys like me rarely post pictures anymore.

For anyone that thinks that evidence is left when photoshopping...send me a big high resolution pic of your choice.

I'll increase the size of the picture and post it. Done right, at an size there is NO evidence.

As for magazine covers—everyone that makes it to the shelf goes through pre-production and gets photoshop treatment. Maybe it's just colour correction, maybe changing a stormy sky to a bright one or just maybe increasing the size of the fish.

Please explain "guys like me"... What makes you different than any other guy on here?

I don't know you, agree with you, or disagree with you, I'm just wondering who this class of "guys like you" are and where they post?

REALLY sorry if this is found to be TOO personal......

But I just don't understand why someone would go off on someone else for a practice that they themselves have done numerous times in the past. And call them a moron for doing it.

I already mentioned editing shorelines, unfortunitely at that time I did not have a computer setup with a program where I can edit with taste. That first picture of the 56 was just too obvious where it was captured that I would of ruined such a small spot by posting it. Same with that second one it had a one of a kind landmark that needed covering. Normaly I like copying the treeline to erase houses etc etc.

I've edited many photos to protect the fisheries and not necessararely my spots because I'm doing this for a living. Muskie fishing is an enterely other game, too many will abuse a fishery and change it in no time even if they can't catch fish, I've seen it done believe me.

I made a mistake of taking a guy to fish a large bay, never showed him my hot spots but we did see a big fish or two. For a couple of years after the fact I had to watch carefully every time I went there as this guy would be there almost 1/2 the time.

It may be hard to believe but I still have a couple of secret spots but mostly it's how you fish and not neccessararely where you fish.

Guys like me are blessed to fish these great waters for 100+ days a year ( getting paid for it too ) and catch a tonne of big fish and I was nice enough to share a few here on fishhawk. But instead of appreciating the priviledge some would rather do the opposite. So I may still post one here and there but never as many as before.

I've come to realise that nice guys always do finish last.
