Left Overs from the Catfest

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Left Overs from the Catfest

Post by M.T. Livewell »

Well, somehow I managed to inherit a fillet knife. And this thing has got some miles on it. Markus, I'll find some way to get it back to ya. :D

But my second treat was one I could have done without. While the catfest was a lot of fun, it seems a few folks also bumped into some keeper walleye.
Back at the camp where Markus and PL and family set up, this one particular walleye made it to camp in hopes of being chopped up and battered.
Well, sure enough, the kids wanted to play with it, measure it, weigh it, etc first. At some point however, I put the boat cover back onto my boat, no realizing this stinky little buggar found its way behind the boat's passenger seat.

So, 3 days later I walk past my 'tempo' garage. Open her up to make sure the batteries are charging nicely and I am greeted at the door with a scent that would make 'Bill's Stinky Balls' blush. I open up the boat cover and a wave of flies rush past my head. *Gag Gag*. There I find our little diamond in the rough, guts leaking from its petrified belly.

So, I pulled it out, cooked it up, and ate it.

RJ, of course I ate it. Oh ya, did I mention I have this bridge for sale ... you interested?! :P

Actually, it is resting peacefully in a big black garbage bag (as well as inside several smaller grocery bags). You are welcome to have it back. But speak up soon, tonight is garbage night. Going, going, ... gone!

Where is the emoticon for "man that stinks" or "up chuck" ... Markus you got one of them?
