Madawaka River

Does anybody have been on Madawaka River between Calabogie and Burnstown with boat ??? I have jon boat and I was thinking about fishing along that river!! Any dangerous spot avoid?? Boat launching where??

The stretch at the top from Bogie and down for about 2 km would be unboatable now... but from then on its okay.

There's a Public Launch just a few hundred metres east of Burnstown on 508.

Good launch and you can travel from Springtown Dam to the island in front of the picnic area just east of Calabobie village.

Pretty good fishin' in parts too!!!!

Nice water for sure! Careful with the island at the picnic area as it is submerged with high water levels... Maybe high now with all that rain...
