2nd GPS/fish finder recommendations.

Looking to acquire a small GPS/Fishfinder combo to fit at the front of the boat to use when casting bass etc from there. I already have a Lowrance LCX 25C which is fixed onto the console. Looking at the Humminbird 597 ci Series Sonar/GPS Combo or the Humminbird 787 c2i Sonar/Internal GPS Combo as possibilities. Seems to be some deals around at the moment on these......I have discounted fitting another Lowrance head unit and running both heads of the same Transducer/GPS module....would rather have two totally independent units in the event one gives out on me in the future.

Any thoughts on the above models....or recommendations
