Thanks John! (Seabass81)

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Thanks John! (Seabass81)

John said he had a free spot in his boat today, so I jumped at the chance!

Having only recently moved to Ottawa, my personal best bass was a 9inch largemouth caught off the banks of the rideau, as you can see we smashed that!

After speeding into a hailstorm, then a rainstorm, we spent some time near the shore casting worms, John caught two nice smallmouth. We then moved onto a bay, where we started using frogs

Was my first! What a pretty fish

John then got this absolute giant, a shade under 5lbs.

My second fish

John caught another one of around 2-3lbs, then we moved on to spinning for pike. No pike but john caught this beauty of a smallmouth

And with that, we headed back. Big thanks to john who is a great guy, lovely evening, and it was brilliant to see a bass that was bigger than 9 inches!

You need to change up your pose, you were lipping that fish with it way too close to your body, gotta get it way out there towards the camera and make it look even bigger.

congrats on the new PB

my wife got her new PB 4.5 lb smallie on the weekend, but won't let me post the pic because she didn't have time to fix her hair just right for the photo.....
