The water levels at the moment are perfect for the Jock, wading friendly and deep enough to hold good sized fish. Well after about a dozen or so small rockbass and SM, I feel some significant weight on the end of my line and the tell tale rythmic pulse to head to the bottom....walleye on!
This was easily my best eye of the season. My best guess is probably close to 19", given that it was longer than my forearm. Regardless, a healthy (and fat) fish.

If I can't get down to NY for trout, eyes on the fly are a nice substitute. Interestingly, all nine of my eyes this season have been caught on the Jock.
