Evening fellow FishHawkers, just another short report from the North. The recce was done and it was time to head into the secret lake. Load up the gear and I was on my way. Once at the lake it was time to assemble the Jet Pack pontoon boat. It wasn't long and I was out on the water. The fish where rising a little, tried a few dry flies...nothing. Tried some nymphs...nothing. So I decided to get back to the basics and tied on a black and olive wooly bugger....and in no time...fish on. It was a great afternoon hooking 6 Speckels, landing 4. The biggest was 20in and the smallest coming in at 15.5 inch.
The gear
The unload
The Jet Pack
The prize
All is good

Thanks Terry, believe it or not nobody is touching these in land lakes up here. There appears to be no early morning or late evening feeding patterns. These beauties were taken mid day/high sun. As for the old trike bring back memories it still navigates and stays a float on the muskeg better then the quads...go figure.
