******SERIOUS FLIPPIN' BEAST MCBAY REPORT (WITH 24/7)******

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

******SERIOUS FLIPPIN' BEAST MCBAY REPORT (WITH 24/7)******

Post by bass_hunter »

So the weather was very beautiful today. As I am telling myself this, 24/7 calls me at work and orders me to take the afternoon off and come fishing at McBay. Why McBay I ask him. He tells me he has one of those "feelings". So, i take the afternoon off, and we are the water at 3 p.m. 24/7 tells me Bass Addict will be coming later. Well the bay is as beautiful as usual and 24/7 is contemplating where to start, and what technique to choose. If he had a go-tee, this would be him playing with it while concentrated.

Image

After one hour of the White Spinner bait being skunked, we remember all of sudden that we just started using a new technique " PIG N' JIGGIN' "

BOOM, 24/7 flips the lily pad weed line. A sweet 2.8 pound bass smashes it.

Image

All of sudden, 24/7 remembers a "#1 bay". Lilly pad heaven. Flips on the line again.....BANG he says this one has serious weight.........comes off.....
   , not giving up, re-casts 3 feet to the right......BANG!!

3LBS9OZ A serious beast.

Now, 24/7 says he wants a beast.........He tells me how this year he did not catch a nickel and I feel sorry for the kid so I tell him i have this Honey hole .....i only use when a family member is need of a SERIOUS BEAST.

And the rest is history..............................................................................................

When we saw bass-addict, we told him we did not catch a thing. We did not want him to have a massive hard attack on the bay, from jealousy or surprise. He can have it at home with the rest of ya'll.

:D :D :D :D :D :D

p.s. there was a dude at the launch catching 1 oz perch and putting him in the 1 gallon bucket.

Super fish Kevin. It's been hard to keep fish off of the flipping jigs my last three outings. Sure hoping for a bass like that to take my jig before the snow comes. Well done and another major congrats to ya 8)
