boq question?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Fatluc,
I'm going down thursday night and will be fishing west of Massassauga point that evening, then with any luck friday morning I'll be out east of snake island. Obviously i'll use a different minnow on my plug so yes, I am a firm believer in switching up if you fish east or west!

What if i can spit from my east hole to my west hole?

Seriously dude, desperate case, you'll be able to see the crowds of people where the fishing is historically 'good' and likely any blood on the ice from the past few days will be more than visible with the lack of flurries of late.
My only comment there Graemebo........... If you can spit from east hole to your west hole........ then your a...........south hole...... (remembered it was a family site and caught myself)

Since the current runs east to west, if you can spit from you east hole to your west hole, I would run a heavier bait in your west hole, to avoid being tangled with the line in your east hole.

p.s. stay off my snake island spot. I'll be on ship shoal, up shallow, sifting for sand crabs.

Popps, pops, pops I will be down Hay Bay next week as my good friend lives on the water and would recommend anywhere at the mouth of Hay Bay and Shermans,Huffs,Hickory Lane.
Good luck and Fat Lukes advice is well taken; ))

FYI I drilll my holes from north to south, as the damp west winds tend to howl I face east to fish. Now that's got me thinking and makes me wonder if there's a better lure for my south hole versus my north hole? Would the shadow of my south senko affect the action / temptation-ness of the north jig ?? maybe I'll go out on a limb and try switching it up this weekend.

My two amigos bruno and chuck are coming out with me:

They'll each get me two 2lb tyendinaga goldens and i'll be happily on my way to thaw out my crisco pond

PS Your snake island spot will soon be a local honey hole - just wait!

Haven't had most of my "luck" this year with jigging spoons, but that is the lure I have the most confidence in compared to say a jigging Rap. Of the two trips this year so far, and the 10 walleye I have caught or lost 9 have been on the same lure...didn't seem to matter where on the bay East, West, North, South, up, down....

ill have to say that blood on the ice around here is no doult to make you stop and fish there and not where the guys are iceing them

fish are hitting well out there we iced 24 this morn and only 11 tonight, mostly 4-5 lbers,id say by thur/fri the snake island area should be hot, thinking it will take em a few days to get there...

be safe out there and stay away from any high current areas, too many eyes in the bay to take chances....

"OPPS" almost forgot pick up a green/siver 3" sidewinder(made by acme) change the hooks to bigger ones and don't taker off
