Big Brookies pulled through the Ice

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Sweet speckles man!!!
There are few problems in life which can not be solved with a well-placed, high-explosive projectile.

Thanks mikemicropterus. I think that male may have been an old fella (5 plus years). Plus they will dis-colour quite quickly. After brinning him for 30 min then stuffed with sourcream, sweet onion, green pepper a good pinch of brown toss in a shaved stick of butter then wrapped in tinfoil and toss him on the BBQ. He was one tasty supper this evening. :D

The colors of the fish rival that of the beautiful sunset. A piece of Heaven.

Thanks

Took a long time to figure that one out. But it's productive. 8)

Cheers.

Wow...congratulations. Did you weigh any ? I'd guess the 2 larger ones are pushin' 5.5lbs. One's a little longer but the other looks a little deeper.

Interesting depth strategy....how long did it take to figure out they're in 18-24 inches?

Again, congrats.
