becoming a guide

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

an we could talk about beers or alcool and so on.

the question is about becoming a guide...

personaly what a guide do in is spare time is not are buisenes..i hired a guide to get fish and lurne frome him about fishing . and tricks.

you could have a guy that was 10 years ind a pen and i would still not care what he did.unles he was inside to having kill a few fishing client..   then i might be a bit more ???.

lets get back to the main topic.......

becoming a guide what it takes.

Joco when you get into a cab you sure hope the guy is sober, same thing should be with your guide. The driving laws are the same on the water as on the road. As well booze is legal if drank off the water or road, but drugs are not.

I bring a huge water jug with me at all times when I'm out on the water, I've been asked if I spike my water now and again. Naturally I don't and I won't let my clients drink on board ether.

I'm looking forward to the day that drug testing becomes manditory for guides like it is in the US.

richard.

i never talk about booz on board or drunk boat driver..i am talking personal life that are not are buisenes.

some people just have something about somebody helse and have to make it big.

i did talk about stuff that guide do.about the numbers off line use for a client and the gray area behind this..is not more legal or ok..just a gray area.

sad to see a good tread about a guy ask what he need to be agood guide as come down to this.

i gues he will see what kind off guide he should be or not.
and what he will need.

.... i do no one thing, personality goes a long way into guiding.

to get and to keep guest.(one off the thing a guide need to apply) and one more thing ,respect.

I think they should also check for past drug convictions. Do you agree with that Richard?
