Stephanie took the ditch... Then she stole The show!

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Thanks guys for the outing! I had a lot of fun!!

But I have to say that there was a new twist on an old adage that was proved by dore819 and myself;

You can lead the men to the fish but you can't make them catch them!!!

;-)

Still nice to see some fish get pulled up on the ice. The Québec surfing lesson was awesome!

well craig.

dont get upset to fast.

your more than welcome everytime we go up there!

no to bash paul or anything but it took him 10 outtings to catch his first!

its all in the confidence.... and the techniques.

and that we dont use flashers i bet that would help alot!

but we dant all have 500 $

just keep at them.

think about this.

what would you like to catch more.

a stinky grass pike at mcbay!

or a pure healthy #1 white fish form the unpoluted 31 mile lake?!

i ate that whity paul gave me MAN O MAN! the best fish i had this year HAND DOWN!

Any pictures?!!!

I am not down about it! I know that it takes time to get the technique and confidence to be successful on the ice! I have not put in the hours that many have to expect success every time I am on the ice.

But I have to say... for an ice fishing hack my stats are not that bad!

St-Anne de la perrade : I caught about 100 Tommy cod in one night.
Ottawa River; four outings - three walleye. (Skunked two out of four times)
Skunked @ 31mile and Roddick

This is my grand total in the past four years of ice fishing. Seven outings and skunked four times. Up to four years ago, I had not ice fished in 20 years. That was in St-Cathrine on the shore of Montreal in the Larry.

Thanks again!!

How did you cook it?

I have only eaten a few whities and find them rather "strong" tasting.

They are A1 in the smoker though.

Well, it looks as though Stephanie doesn't need any more help from you, Frannie.

I remember your whitefish pic's from last winter, and here we are again looking at some more. Where does the year go?!

Looks like a really fun day on the ice. Happy to see BA's interest being held by something with scales on it, rather than feathers.

Anyhow, great outing and thanks for sharing such a fun report and pic's.

W.

PS: Stephanie + 24/7 pictures together....very cute! 8)
