I can't find river x, lake x OR secret farmer lake on Google Maps!!?
I have a special intra-net furnished by Google that is for farmers only (And the Chinese government...) it serves up special maps and web sites that the general public can NEVER see!
To be honest... I call them "X" 'cause I want to be cool like BA and 24/7!!!!! (Never quite make it...)
But Secret Farmer Lakes are just that; Secret!!!!!
For a very long time the opener of bass has always been a toss up between Charleston or the Big Rideau, but now there is a new player in town, the Rideau River.
I was also considering going to someplace new to me for bass opener. Dog/Cranberry would be at the top of that list. I wanted to fish Dog/Cranberry last year but never made it.
Of course I'm still waiting for launching information and hopefully a few general areas about Dog/Cranberry that was promised to me last year from a prestegious and prominent pro on the Renegade Bass Tour Series.
For the second year in a row I'll be heading stateside to Brooklyn, NY for the Jamaica Bay Kayak Fishing Tourney for Charity. Last year we had 260 entrants, this year they're anticipating 350. Huge event with alot of fish caught... I'll likely be hitting the 'eyes on the Ottawa the following weekend though
I'll probably start my year on the May 24 long week end with my old man and broder.... probably hit Zone 18 for some Eyes and Pike ! ooohh yah and I'll try to convinence cprince that Tabouleh farmer does exist and therefore I'm concidered a farmer for the April 23 Trout lake (farmers only)
and well after that I'm going to be slappin the BAss !
I will most-likely kick the season off with an April trip to fish the western basin of Lake Erie and spend some time on the Detroit River. The early run of walleye is amazing in those waters.

Just a guy that likes to fish walleye
I'll be looking at nailing some fish in my new backyard.
Won't fish out of sight of my house untill I score so I better get her done on opening day as I have a few favorites for opening weekend I want to hit.
I have the boat if someone wants to get out for trout or crappie, other then that we will do the May 1&2 opener on the BOQ.
My wife is in Barrie for the second week of May. I haven't checked the local regs but may tag along for some spring pannies on Simcoe while she works. I'll be in Florida and will miss the local opener for 'eyes but it's back to the BOQ on the 29th.
For bass opener I'm booked into my favourite campsite at Murphy's Point and will hit the Big Rideau and area for 5 straight days. My favourite site is the one that has room for the boat and a bug tent.
well i'll still be ice fishing for walleye for another couple weeks, THEN i'll start getting exited for the opener up north to Elk Lake. Great fishing with a secluded camp with boat only access.
