Open Boat Launches?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Open Boat Launches?

Post by DrB »

Has anybody seen if any boat launch is open? i.e., Wendover, Rockland, Mississppi Lake, any here in Ottawa?

My boat is ready to get wet, but don't want to drive somewhere with the boat and then realize that I can't launch.

Thanks

Farm Point in the Gatineau River is wide open! Just had a look at it today. Most of the river is open between Chelsea and Low. Some bays still have ice. As usual the current is strong, but the water levels are lower than they should be for this time of year.

The launch is totally ice free and the ramp (gravel) is solid.

The Launch in Rockland is open. There are a few boats out there everyday. No launch fees yet.

Not all of the Miss is unlocked yet Roberto...but like Ram said it is open from the highschool into the first bay area. Spoke with Crystal yesterday at Baitcasters and by their old store is still closed shut. But again the launch by the high school looks good.

Was in KARS Sunday, the launch there is open and usable. The person I was visiting has a house on the water, and said she's seen one boat & person out water skiing.... yikes.
