Capital Muskies

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Capital Muskies

Capital Muskies is a new club in the Ottawa area, independently run from other clubs, but with the same values of resource conservation and protection. Our main focus is to introduce new anglers to Muskie fishing, and to help them acquire the proper tools to locate and handle these great fish properly and safely. Our monthly meetings will be informative and enjoyable, with guest speakers from all parts of the industry.

Being a new club we're still in the process of getting things up and running. The past few weeks have been very busy to say the least, but finally on March 25, 2010 we had our first meeting for the newly formed executive committee. We are set for the summer, and will announce our first meeting date, time and place in the next few days.

We Are A Group Of Local Muskie Anglers With Common Interests

A: Family Oriented Club
B: Helping Kids Find The Joys Of Fishing
C: Help Maintain Our Local Waterways
D: Promote Conservation Awareness
E: Help New Anglers
F: Our Most Important Rule Is HAVE FUN!
G: Have A Social Environment For Club Members

If you have any interest in Muskies, or just want to get out once a month with a great group of people and talk fishing, we may be just the place you've been looking for. Please visit our website http://www.capitalmuskies.ca for more information.

Ted,

Congratulations on such a new and exciting group in Muskie awareness for the Ottawa region. Best of luck to you and everyone involved in creating a solid foundation for many years to come.

I am not an avid Muskie angler as you know Ted, but I'd like to get involved to support your endeavor for the future of Muskie fishing/conservation in the Ottawa regoin.

Cheers,

Grant.

Nah Ted, my reply is sincere. I think it is a good thing to have choice in which interest group you can join on the same topic.

Has anyone looked into the legalities of setting up a non Canadian based organization?
Of course not

If I am not mistaken, its has to be registered in Canada
You might want to look into the legal end of it

Seeing who is involved I am not the lease bit surprised (breaking the law part)
this world never ceases to surprise me
