hydrofoils

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

The Dolphin is the cheap and quick (semi) fix. You need to increase the horsepower for that vessel.

I have a hydro foil on my 14' with 30 hp merc. Couldn't believe the difference it made in getting on plane and the way the boat handles at top speed of 27 mph down hill with a tail wind. Well worth the money, no regrets.

Can't imagine the looks I would get if I put trim tabs on a 14' boat.

Excuse my ignorance, but by hydro-foil - are you fellas referring to the Whale-Tail mounted on the motor cavitation plate?

You can also try smart tabs, way better than hydrofoil.

Years back I had good luck with a Doelfin

I once had a dead battery and started a 70hp evinrude with a boot lace ( the emergency pull cord was in a drawer back in the cottage)
