The Alberto Knot is supposed to be very strong and very easy to tie.

pikeman,
If you're tying up your own leaders I would suggest the Slim Beauty knot. This is a great knot for joining a bite tippet/leader to your line.

I think most of the major line to line connection knots have been cover already, my favour for ease of use is the surgeons however if I have time and tying leaders the night before I will go with the uni to uni. Also, consider the type of lure you are using. If you are using a spinner, spoon, or any vertical jig or tube presentation you might as well just go with a swivel to prevent line twist.

Ditto. When the fly rod is out I always use the surgeons for attaching tippet to leader.I think most of the major line to line connection knots have been cover already, my favour for ease of use is the surgeons however if I have time and tying leaders the night before I will go with the uni to uni.
With fluro leaders, I always use a uni-knot and lots of spit when attaching to the to the business end. With mono or braid, I use a palomar.
