Alcohol on boat

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Well said gorfman007... It's our duty to promote safe boating and with stats that show a very large percentage of boating accidents can be attributed to drinking then it seems pretty obvious that we shouldn't do it.

Go out have a great day fishing then enjoy a few around the campfire or out on the deck once home.

On the lines of arguing with co's and law enforcement officers... let's just say that being "difficult" is only going to make life harder for you. That warning will quickly become a serious fine :!:

Toss my 2 cents in with Gorfman & John. There's ample other time to enjoy a drink or two back at the cottage, campsite, or home.

Thanks, Dad, for taking me fishing when I was a kid.

Buddy of mine got busted by OPP anchored 50' from his dock fishing perch with his daughter with one beer in the boat. Bunch of hundred $. Not worth the grief to take a chance.

Here's my two cents. I don't fish anywhere near crowds usually I find another place to fish. I enjoy a beer or two with my lunch. I'm not much for soft drinks and water is...well water. Plain and simple I like beer or maybe a glass of red wine or swig of scotch. The alcohol I consume per hour out fishing would'nt impair a gnat. Seems we cannot help ourselves legislating common sense out of the equation. Speaking of which, is there room anymore for common sense? Or must we all be a bunch of sanctimonious sheep? If you wanna preach to me then stay off my boat.

I like the guy who enjoyed a pull on scotch...good for you.

I like to rest easy knowing that in my first-aid kit on the boat is a bottle of Dalwhinnie, for the treatment of snake bite if needed.
Cheers,
