Bass Season Opener 26th of June

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

True enough..... Could be legit, anyways..... I don't really care, all I know is I can't wait for the bass opener, hoping for a great season ahead and lots of good times. That is what it is all about. Back to the original post, I will be on White Lake for the SEBO tourny saturday and possibly on Muskrat Lake on sunday for the Lowe Memorial tournament. Good luck to everyone and be mindfull of the lower water levels this year, could get expensive real fast.

I'm not going on opening day.... I have a wedding to attend so I'm going for bass a day before the season opens. I'm sure I'll see many others out there "pike" fishing with flipping jigs and senkos.

See y'all on the 25th.

You should keep all that on and go for a ride on the bike James...
Fishing isn't a matter of life and death....
It's much more important.

Good fish! Don't entirely buy the fact you kept it alive in a live well in order to take a picture from the kitchen... but nice fish either way.

When I target bass, I usually head to White Lake. But not for season opener. Unless you enjoy the company of hundreds of other boats.

OK. I couldn't resist. I will be on the banks of St. Lawrence river fishing for CARP! Honest to God. Reasons?

1- Since it is C&R for me anyways, it doesn't really matter what carp taste like. What matters is that I CAN catch and fight a 30lb fish any time the fishing is good.

2- I don't need to cheat and use a fish finder. All I need is find a spot with the right water depth and water temperature for the time of season.

3- I can take my wife and kids or friends every time I go fishing.

4- I can still satisfy any ego issues and participate in carp fishing tournaments (yes, it is not only bass tournaments that do exist).

5- I can have a BBQ while fishing.

6- I can read a book while fishing.

7- I can take a nap while fishing, and STILL catch a fish.

8- Oh, and I don't need a boat!

So please bass experts, keep your secret spots in deep hiding. No one needs them! And in case your about to say "slime", please get real, think snot rockets :-) :-)

BM

P.S. Caught yesterday, while having a nice picnic with friends. 26lb on my scale (feel free to borrow it in your *tournaments*)!

Killer attar. Carp always put up a good fight. I used to hunt them with compound bows in the states.
