Where is the old White Lake Bridge

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Where is the old White Lake Bridge

Post by msdumo »

I had no luck trying to find the old bridge piers on the Madawaska river where the White Lake bridge crosses.

When they built the new White Lake bridge the old bridge piers were flooded when they built the Arnprior dam. They should be about 6 feet below the water line.

Are they upstream or down stream and how far away from the new bridge?

There upstream about 200 yards of the new bridge and they stick out of the water by about 15 feet.

Are you talking about the Burnstown Bridge????

Actually he is talking about the bridge just outside the antrim truck stop on the whitelake road.

there are piers under the water.. actually I am pretty sure they are really close to the ones that are there now. I cross that bridge daily and am drawing a blank.

from what i've been told is that the old bridge is just 50ft over to the north side of the existing one. and it is quite deep there so it wont be sticking out anywhere

I think Moonshine is right, if your driving towards white lake and on the bridge, I think they are to the right of the existing bridge. Most likely really deep.....I think it was almost 100 feet there if i remember correctly.
