Boat year?

I've looked everywhere on the net and have come up short.I have an Evinrude outboard, but can't get the year. I know where to look for the numbers and have found nothing. I do, however, have a serial number taken fron the freeze plug. It is......... . . C0070469 Does anyone know, or know anyone who might know what year this motor is? It's been driving me crazy not being able to track it down. Any help is greatly appreciated.

No serial number on the motor itself? Other than that a picture might help a lot.

First of Johnson/Evinrude is searched by Model #.
Call Laurentian Marine they will be able to help, they have a reference book that refers to old engines or engines that have weird numbers!
