Please Keep Your Eyes Open/9.9 Merc Theft

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Please Keep Your Eyes Open/9.9 Merc Theft

Post by Woodyman »

Hi all, I live in Arnprior, I had my 9.9 Mercury 4 stroke (2008) stolen from my boat last night. They snapped off the metal portion of where the lock attaches. It is in "as new" condidtion, the serial number is OTR-074466. If you hear of anyone selling one off cheap or notice the above described damage I would appreciate a call.

Thanks

I hope the dumb butt that did it is dumb enough to go and order a new part and the parts counter is smart enough to know why they would be buying one.

Should be like other countries where if you are caught stealing they cut your fingers or hands off.

There are real loosers in this world. I meet them everyday. Sorry to hear of your loss.
Take the time to contact all the local shops. Take a 100 mile radius!
Now, think about how you are going to claim that it is yours???
9.9's are hard to replace. Good luck. :(

My 9.8 Merc was stolen last fall. A real shame.. It would be nice to see a lost and found section on here. I should post a small notice as well. I'll keep my eyes open.

Thanks all for your kind words and offers to keep your eyes open!!! It sucks I bought the boat with my retirement pay after 22 years in the army!! Luckily I still have a 90 on her, hopefully it will turn up!
