Ontario record fish list????

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I'll bet that URL is in your favorites folder!

Do you have a target species for your next record? My guess is Carp!

Nice to see a familiar name on there... the only Ottawa river Ontario record.

One that is very beatable is Mooneye. If ya wanted into the books that would be the easiest one I'd think..

Carp does get beat regularly but not by me.....My British buddies would lynch me if I kept it...

The American Eel record is also from the Ottawa river...

That one is probably not likely to be beat any time soon.

I've read articles stating there are still eels in the Ottawa river but has anyone caught any recently?
I remember catching them all the time with my dad back in the day.

I'm sure there are plenty of records about... however they are now a protected species... so record or not back in the swim they go

I actually had the same info but what I was looking at was the Tiger Muskie record. I knew the record was and looks to still be held by a past client of mine but I thought sometime in the last few years though I had heard it had been broken. From the looks of it the Tiger record would have been broken (by quite a bit) two weeks ago except for the the hard core catch and release beliefs of a good friend of mine.
As for other records to break White Bass would be an easy one. We regularly get fish in the 3lb range but never bother keeping any. If we are having a contest on breaking records I'll do it next spring. :D

Good Fishin'
