Quebec license Difference

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

G'day lads,

If I might point you to the SQ (Sûreté du Québec or QPP) website on drinking and boating. God love this province... almost makes it worth the extra taxes we pay.

http://www.sq.gouv.qc.ca/foire-aux-ques ... les=Bateau

To sum it up, as long as you aren't incapacitated. you're good to go. So, bottom's up!

I was always under the impresion that your QC license is good for people under 18 that are under ur supervision. If it's your spouse or son/daughter if they are over 18 they need their own. This was explained to me about 20 years ago by a CO, could very well be different now.

I personally think that theres nothing better then having a beer at the launch after a long day fishing ! I'm a quebec resident ............ and thats one rule I think should be removed ...... drinking in a boat ishhhhhhhhhhhh !

You may be right, and you are certainly entitled to your opinion.

But, it is legal, and we can't poop on people for exercizing their rights within the law.

For the record, I totally agree. Alcohol and water don't mix. One of our FH partners father drown last week while trying to save a drunken bum. He was a good man.

True.... but I certanly wont jump and drown myself for some drunken person in the river thats dancing in a boat and tips over ! It's their rights and it's legal then they should be prepared for accidents !

My 2 cents !

Do not use live minnows and keep your eyes open for the Ministry - they are sneaky. Any more helpful input?
