Hi everyone,
Much to my dismay, I can't get largemouth anywhere on anything on the Ottawa this year. Last year's patterns are not working at all. I've expanded my aresenal quite a bit but still I'm having difficulty getting anything close to consistent largemouth catches. I've caught oodles of smallmouth, nice ones too, but no largemouth. I've tried flipping jigs, senkos, worms, spinnerbaits, and buzzbaits with very little success. I had one good evening with frogs and one good day with money minnows, but have come up empty handed on every other occasion (probably up to a dozen lmb skunks by now).
I'd very much like to spend a day on my boat with someone that knows this stretch of the river (Rockland-Wendover) and could point me in the right direction. I'd certainly be willing to trade some walleye secrets for a largemouth crash course. Any info would help.
Thanks a bunch!
Yannick

I would go fishing with you any day dude but I don't know any spots. If you want to get skunked together I wouldn't mind driving up to fish with you. But as far as LMB go, I only caught a couple on the river a couple of years ago so I'm not the one that can help you on this one. I've also caught my fair share of smallies but only the pros know where to find the lunkers.fisherguy33 wrote:wow...seriously no one?? Give a northern boy a break.
sorry don't know that stretch of water all that well , but I have fished largemouth my whole life love it i beleive largemouth tactics pretty much stay the same exept for size, colour and presentation which i find change from lake to lake , were your white spinnerbait works great on one lake but you can't catach a thing with it on another but throw on a black one and your in buiz. and as for fishing would go anytime just let me know were and when
cheers......
cheers......

Yannick, I would join you tomorrow but I'm going golfing. If it was for Thursday I would jump on it but tomorrow is a no go. Any other day is usually good. I just booked my tee-off at lunch. Good luck!fisherguy33 wrote:Only fished Lochabaer once this bass season. Got nothing. It was pretty much the start of the skunks. That's not a bad idea though. Maybe I'll give it a go after work tomorrow (Wednesday) now that the water went back up a bit. Anyone care to join me? Open seat for anyone.

Well now... A Cents fan... golfing... I will guess that your partner is a Leaves fan?Spezza_Fan wrote: ...but I'm going golfing. ... I just booked my tee-off at lunch....

Sorry big guy! Couldn't resist!
Just think... next year... after the trade deadline... you will either have to change your username to Gonchar fan or change your allegiance to whatever team he is unloaded on.

@ FisherGuy33
I would be all over this... but I am off to Pembroke Thursday... that means I have to get some work done tomorrow on this damn farm!! I am certain Musky will help you out with the net!
Get a couple of those hybrids that I showed you... and nail the buckets in the reeds. Slow approach...

It's all good Craig. My guess is your a Habs fan? Spezza won't be traded dude. There's so much hype around him all the time whether it's good or bad. It comes with the style he plays. With his NTC in place he isn't going anywhere and he's happy with that. He'll light you guys up again next year like he always does. Oh and I'm not completely sold on Gonchar yet. I got my first Spezza jersey when he was still wearing #44 during his rookie season. I also have one with his #39. I'm no bandwagon fan here. I'm just a big fan of his style; flaws and everything.cprince wrote:Well now... A Cents fan... golfing...
