The Pinacle of my year

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

The Pinacle of my year

Post by marc Thorpe »

I have had the honor of fishing with Big Jim prior but all trolling/never filming.
This time we casted and he and I took part in tagging and DNA collection in collaboration with QMNR/OMNR AND University of Syracus (DR John Ferrel)
Neat thing is allot of info about the fish and what are MNR's are doing by being involved will be highlighted.

Most of all,it was a wonderful moment to capture Big Jim and Cam and I,
The man is Larger than life. (Wish I knew how to post pictures)
Undeniably the most generous and kind hearted person in fishing
A memory to last a lifetime with the man that has impact most of us if not the most in the fishing industry

I experience wonderful things and people in life
This one meant allot to me
(Merci Mon Chum)

the greatest advice for all
Dont take life for granted

Big Jim,you never cease to amaze me

Show should air this winter
Like large himself says often" Vient icit mon Chum"
and they did
The Big man shined like no other

Most of all ,thank you for the respect in the way I earn my living and that you have given me all my fishing life
There is and will never be no Other Like Big Jim

May God Shine on you Mon Chum

Who's pinnacle???

Post by Big Jim »

Sorry Mr. Thorpe...it was my pinnacle to be in your boat buddy ...you are an absolute wizard and you ARE a better musky fisherman than I WAS a bass fisherman...

Merci Mon Chum 8)

I am forever in your shadow buddy. :D

Now I know that is hard to imagine due to the difference in our physical stature ...but I can assure you it is the truth.

Forever man :D

BIG JIM....humbled by you once more.

Last year when I was looking for a new rod/reel, Big Jim sent me a PM here with some recommendations and his personal number if I had questions...

I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted when I went into the store, but I got confused quickly.... so I called Big Jim right from the store where he went through his books/info to find make/model numbers of the rods and I just told the clerk/salesman what to go get for me...

After the sales man makes a few trips to go find this model rod, or that, he asks me.. "Who are you talking with? You're buddy seems to know his stuff.".. and I was proudly able to reply, "Big Jim"...

A small moment, but an impact none the less.

Thank you sir!

Fished with Big Jim two years ago.

I still think of that day with every hookset I make.

Defintily increased my hookup ratio since.

I'm very proud to call Big Jim my friend, and knowing all the good you do is humbling and most certainly something we could all learn from.

Nice to hear you guys had a great time 8)

Nice pic, but have to ask. Is that your favorite lucky fishing shirt?

I think we have seen it in several posts with you holding quality fish.

Well done none the less.
