LeBaron and Shimano
LeBaron and Shimano
So I am thinking of getting a Ci4 and went on the LeBaron site to get a sense of the CAD price and noticed that there are no Shimano rods or reels on their site, then I thought of how all Shimano is on "special" and the reel case is empty at LeBaron.
There is no way LeBaron dropped Shimano or vise versa......is there? cause that would be very dumb on their part.
Am I just crazy or is there anything to this?
check their site yourself:

Does anyone know the price of a Ci4 2500??

Why don't you contact them directly instead of opening a discussion on here which I'm 100% sure will lead to nothing other than bashing the store????????????????biggs wrote:So I am thinking of getting a Ci4 and went on the LeBaron site to get a sense of the CAD price and noticed that there are no Shimano rods or reels on their site, then I thought of how all Shimano is on "special" and the reel case is empty at LeBaron.

Find a window of time to zip on by the Merivale location to actually touch...feel....and dream. I say this as your location is Nepean.
The other option might be to pay a little more for this product at a smaller store as they don't buy the same volume or get incentives.....but they do have the ability to serve you properly when you need products.
I dealt with this type of situation thousands of times over the course of 15 years in retail/wholesale fishing goods.
Larger retailers simply can not sell from an empty peg or showcase!
Howz that for taking a retail course Corey?

And you forgot to mention that fellow members can view your posts on OFN but not under Bass Addict...they have to search for "
whitespinnerbait".....

No need to apologize!slop wrote:Apologies Biggs. You still need to physically go to a location. On-line catalogues and PDf's are useless. I'll check this for you and get back/
I don't think online catalogues are useless, they show you what they carry and at one time they had Shimano on their online catelogue and now they don't which leads me to believe they don't carry Shimano anymore.
If they carry Shimano why take it out of their catelogue?
I have been to the store and its unfortunately its pretty empty but tis the season I guess.
Too bad they have a ancient inventory system (everything is hand written, no computers) because they have always had a restocking issue. Basically they get an item in once a year and once its gone go somewhere else cause they are not getting it in until next year.
I don't hate LeBaron I just think they do things wrong.
Seriously....no computers for inventory?? Thats just dumb.
