Adventures of Netman 2010

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

24/7 - We are just weekend warriors and this year we have gotten out less than previous years......that being said we mark piles of fish in the deeper water, we have 22 in the boat and about 5 big ones that have gotten off, I don't recall getting any in more than 15ft. They are there though.

What a bunch of good fish -- especially some super-nice muskies! Love to see the family fishing together, too. Good times!

Thanks, Dad, for taking me fishing when I was a kid.

Here's some important information that Derek left out from his report. Just before we caught the last musky, we were trolling when the rod went off. I jumped up, grabbed the reel and felt the head shakes....and then I felt the empty feeling of a believer being reeled in without a fish on it. Plus, to make matters worse I dropped a some cheese nips in the excitement. Rather upset that this fish cheated me out of some cheese nips when they fell to the soaken wet floor of the boat, I through them over board and we joked that they were a sacrifice to the musky gods. We set our lines back up and continued the troll. A minute later the reel went off again. This time the fish stayed on. Needless to say there will be cheese nips aboard for the next trip and some will have to be sacrificed to the musky gods once again.

PS...the "netman" has reeled in 10+ musky's over 40 inches in the last year and a half so I'm sure something is going to give real soon.

Just waiting until my kids are old enough to take out in the boat.
I'd happily net all day long too.
Some of the best memories I have is of fishing with family as a kid.

I love to see those end of the year reports that kinda sum it up all in one report. That photo of your daughter putting that fish back at the side of the boat........priceless, and one of those great positioned photos that really makes a good picture.

Thanks for sharing man. I enjoyed reading every word and seeing every fish.

cheers

Thanks very much for all the positive comments, it's appreciated.

There has been a very positive vibe on FH recently, which is why I chose to whip up a post.

Hopefully We get something worth reporting on again soon.
