That's a beauty of a tiger. And the ear to ear smile is not bad either. Thanks for the pics Margie.
Congrats on the PB.

Wow, thanks again everyone. I guess you could sense I was just a little happy about this one, hmmm?
Again, your responses are appreciated!
I sure hope I can hit the 40" mark in the not-too-distant future. That's my next goal. Two 46 inchers were pulled out last week, both released. So they're in there...

You know... "Year of the Nickel" could also apply to a 50 inch Tiger AND the 5 pound bass!!!wolfe wrote:Wow, thanks again everyone. I guess you could sense I was just a little happy about this one, hmmm?Again, your responses are appreciated!

Aim high!
...Nothing can stop the U.S. Air-Force... sorry... some statements or phrases provoke a turrets like reaction in me where a cultural reference, obscure or otherwise, percolates to the surface for all to see!!

Yes, he had a real shovel head. I like to imagine him growing into that head in the next 2-3 years, and thought about that as I watched him swim away.lapointeric wrote:Congratulations! Look at the size of the head on that thing!!!

PS: Birdee - all that casting is good for the arms, too, as you well know.

Thanks, Dad, for taking me fishing when I was a kid.

Oops, Beachburger, didn't see your question!beachburger wrote:A stunning fish. Cong on your PB.
What rod and reel were you using?

I have a new, pretty inexpensive combo (as is necessary for budget right now!) ...
Shimano Sedona 4000FD spinning reel coupled with a Bass Pro Shops Power Plus "Trophy Class" rod. It's a good fit for me, for now at least.
