TORPEDO & DEVIL LOON'S CARP ADVENTURE IN SYR. PAPER BLOG
As some of you may recall, RJ and Birdee hosted the Wolfe Pack for a fantastic, memorable day of carping on the St. Lawrence River back on July 5th.
Ty caught big fish of the day at 24.7 lbs, and when we got back to NY I decided to send in some pics and a brief write-up to the Outdoors editor at our local newspaper in Syracuse.
Ty's carp pic was selected as the feature for "Catch of the Week" for the Sunday paper on July 25th, which was very exciting. There was a very brief bit written underneath with his name, the fish's weight & location caught, but that was it.
I just realized that the editor had put the entire write-up on the Outdoors (Fishing) Blog, along with Shane's carp pic as well. (I realize now that I did not put Shane's biggest carp of the day in, which weighed 20.1 lbs! Oops!)
Anyway, it was fun to read the entire piece, and Shane got his ego stroked a bit as well.
I'm also happy that RJ and Birdee could get recognized as well, as they were the reason we got into these fish in the 1st place!!!!
Lots of fun. Check it out...

PS: Ty's ego really didn't need any more fuel, but Shane's did -- this came along at a good time, and as they say, "better late than never".
