Interesting read written by Trey Kistler

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I saw this on antoher forum and thought I would share since there is a Kistler following here.

Take what you want from it, I know what I think about it.

Interesting read. I must live in a cave. I had no idea there was quality issues with Kistler. It seems as though Kistler is working very hard at Continious Quality Improvement.

I still love my Kistler Magnisium Flippin/pitchin stick.

The same way KISS saved Christmas?

Nice sticks though. I have mostly been looking at St Croix rods... but Kistler might be another great option for a fast Frogging stick!

kistler rods ....are they worth the price..?

Post by fergusod »

Hi everyone,

That is a sad tale for the rod company. I have only one such rod in my collection of rods. Its the helium anyways...I like it and have had no problems with it. Now
i am not big fan of expensive rods..I prefer the 30 to 100 dollar max. The problem i believe lies in anglers and regular wear and tear on gear not that the blank is truely defective...anyways. That s my 2 cent. Oh thanks andy for the Kistler from a ways back.. :D .

I think sometimes how rough I'm on gear and I actually do have rods that are not 100 percent but still fish um regardless...

How's the full Liberal movement doin' today? How dare anyone deride this mans belief in the God of Abraham. If this man wants to give credit to his value system who are you to judge? I fully support the values that were expressed by Mr. Kistler in respect to his product and wonder just exactly which value system that might be endorsed by an individual who would attempt to belittle an honest explanation of an obviously sincere individual such as Mr.Klistler.
These are trying times and common sense and mutual respect for one another are called for. Those who call for ridicule on any level are obviously not part of the solution.
