Users not staying logged in - FIX
Hello all,
I've gotten several notes of users not being able to "stay logged in". I did find an error in the config of the site, after the restore, which I've corrected now.
The impact however to some, may be that they get this at least one more time....since I've had to change the cookie path in the config.
The fix is to "clear your cookies" within your browser and log back in. You do this is the Settings section of your browser. You should only have to do this once, and when you log back in.....all should be fixed.....
Let me know if you are still having problems......
Regards,

Re: Users not staying logged in - FIX
Should have read this last night. Doh! We'll see if that fixes things at home.
Bob... another note... The advertisement banners at the bottom of the pages are often covering the submit button in the User Control Panel... maybe elsewhere. No change to avatars or other things is do-able. And maybe others are experiencing this too... but pics are not showing up in some threads or they are covering text. Understandably a work in progress, this is just FYI.

Rob...this is exactly what I pm'd you about a few weeks ago and you had asked me to try another browser other than IE...
I am happy and thankful to say that the config restore you have initiated has now cleared my issues up....as you mentioned in your post, I did have to scroll down to the bottom of the page and select "delete all board cookies"...
Thanks again,
Steve P

Re: Users not staying logged in - FIX
I have the same issues as Moosebunk. Can't do any changes to my profile because the submit button is usually covered by a sponsors banner. Also sometimes the avatars from other people show up on the right handside where the total # of posts is!!

Ooops, didn't see this for wondering why I couldn't stay logged in
I was unwilling to delete all cookies in Google Chrome, the alternative is to go to Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Content Settings -> Cookies -> All Cookies and Site Data
Search on fish-hawk, remove only those cookies.

Now I understand what is causing my problem from my laptop. Presently writing this from the iPhone. Will try fixing it in the settings.

That seems improved Dan.Wallyboss wrote:Thanks it seems like my problem is fixed now. Check it out Bunk
Anyone else having other troubles though? For one, advertisement banners are still blocking the submit button in the user control panel for me. And the second thing, pictures in reports/threads are covering text so you can't read them.

Bunk, I still have the same problems as you. It was okay at one point, I was able to get my avatar back up. But it's back. pictures covering text. avatars showing on the righthandside in somebody elses posts. and the banner over the submit button.
