16 pounder is a mid-to-high average for a 40 inch fish. 20 pounders are generally 42 to 43 inches. 22-24 pounds are 43-45, and 25 pounders are very hefty 45's, and up to 47 inchers. Not by fish calculator here man, but by having measured and weighed probably 100 and more fish high 30's to high 40's. Takes nothing to get a length on a fish Kev... Next one bigger you can, and I'll tell ya what it weighed. As for this fish... it's a record alright. Yours and no one elses. Enjoy.
