Battery??

Post by Jason Daoust »

What and where is the best place to buy a battery? I need it for my main motor and electronics. I have a elite 7 HDI, and a HDS5 hooked up along with livewell and all other electronics except trolling motor . So I want to go and buy a decent and big battery.
Thanks

I use Interstates and have never had a problem. I would suggest getting the biggest one you can fit in your boat/afford.

Total Battery will have you covered for anything you need. I do not think they Carry Interstate, but I really don't know who does around here.

Laurentian carries Interstate batteries and you get 10% off when you mention you are from fishhawk

They replied to my post with some prices

I had to replace my starting battery last year. My plan was to get an Interstate but I was out of town when it died so I bought one at NAPA. No complaints so far!

I needed to replace both my starter battery as well as my DC battery for trolling this year. After running around looking at all the various batteries, I decided to give Costco a try, they are selling a DC27 Starter/DC battery with 845 MCA for $99.99, so I decided to purchase 2 and see what happens, worst case scenario, I can take it back.
