I wouldn't consider a cable driven foot pedal, kills the back, i use a MK 101 tiller, you don't have a pedal ,an ugly cable or a chair on a post in the way, and you stand up and can see more of what's ahead,it's like havin' a 1 handed chainsaw up front,, jmo.

I hear you loud and clear, but nope, I do not like that set-up at all. I LIKE my comfy chair and foot pedal, and 180 degrees of casting space.

My local dealer can order the Fortrex, but does not have a display model for me to eyeball.

Minn Kota Genesis, deployes with a touch of a button and comes back up the same way! Foot controlled also has auto pilot, its a little older but they are awesome, go on youtube or google it! Never hurt your back again!!

That thing is awesome!!! It is not cable driven so like the terrova, it will turn a little slower but I don't think you will find anything better. The only time you would have to bend down with that thing is if there were pounds of weeds hanging off of it.

Thanks for the opinion on the Genesis. I DO appreciate all of the input I am getting here.

My dealer told me they had a ton of problems with that model and the dealer was glad Minnkota discontinued it. I see that experience was not unique, judging by comments on this website:
