Kesagami Reflections... & Trophy Pike Report.

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I just love that Brenda is right there with you, experiencing these magnificent, wild places and charming the leviathans into your boat. INCREDIBLE report, amazing couple of anglers and people! (As always, I lapped those photo's right up. Stunners.)

Thanks, Dad, for taking me fishing when I was a kid.

It is always the way. You take your wife or kid with you, they'll always catch the biggest fish.
Some awesome sized Pike for sure there Mr.

PS

It's that time once again. :)

Still thinking about a Larry trip as well.

Thanks gang.

Feeling more of a muskie bug these days than in years past... Anyways, pike in this country we know "can" get to 55 inches in some places, maybe even a little bigger. How many people see a 55-inch muskie in their lives despite them growing even bigger? How many get to fish both in their prime waters at prime time and catch those true giants in prime form? Not me, not many I doubt. But both are awesome species, that generally fight a little different, and are easily respectable in trophy sizes. Ottawa River fish... further up around Stonecliffe, Rolphton, Mackie Creek I have heard a co-worker speak of some bigger pike.

She can give me a run for my money as long as she keeps letting me run around with hers.

Nice to hear from you Margie and thanks. Hope your season at the cottage went well and that you and the boys caught plenty. And did Ty ever find a suitable motor for the summer?

Fishing was so-so -- unfortunately, not as much time spent on the water or even at the cottage as usual. Both boys in summer baseball leagues, which kept us in a gypsy-like routine. Hoping we'll get in a couple more licks before things turn for the worse weather-wise, but our youngest dog has just been diagnosed with terminal lymphoma. Travel plans all on stand-by as we see how much quality time we have left with our wonderful canine boy.

Oh, and yes -- Torpedo's dad found him a great 2nd hand 9.9. He loved his independence this season and out-fished everyone, mom included.

Your a fishing freak. Another amazing read and report. You should have your own magazine or something with all these killer reports. The Moosebunk Mag or something. Love it man and even better that you get to experience trips like these with everyone in your family including your daughters. A true family fishin man. Inspirational, I only hope my family would like to tag along on trips like that with me and can only dream of catching the monsters you do. Rock on!

Hope Ty posts up some of his fish if he has pics, would be great to see how the "young man" did for himself. Figured you must be running because you were scarce around the www. I had put the WarCanoe up for sale with or without an old Johnson 15HP and pending sale thought about Ty for that motor. I have little need for it but a 15 would have meant you registering the boat. WarCanoe didn't sell though, and before ya know it, the summer has flown by.

Thanks Fish... Bren wants to do another trip next year, and as the girls get older we'll see if they want to stick with me for a few more fishing boot camps. Get them into fish, they'll learn quick what that kind of fun is about.
