Ice Thickness in inches: Solid 6" of black ice
Ice Condition: Black ice/but lots of slush
Time of day: Sunday, December 29th, AM
Notes:

Fish was biting well in the morning; usual size walleye and pike and a catfish for a teaser!!!

Thanks Ribar, i was wondering how the ice was out there. To far out of my way to drive out there to be unsure about the conditions and not be able to fish! Cheers

Any recent ice conditions since this deep freeze?????

Was out sat Jan 18 in shallow bay. There was about 16 inches of good ice and 3 inches of shale on top. Have not been out deep yet but good ice makin weather this week!!!!

I was out at muskrat on Sunday the 19th and about 8 to 10 inches of black ice and 3 inches of white ice,,,,, guys driving all over the lake but the bite was slow only one pike to show for all day and a couple of markings on the flasher.
Hope the bite picks up will give it another shot in mid Feb or early March.
