After swearing up and down I would be buying a 5 power Dobyns cb rod, I went in a totally different direction.
Ed made me an offer I couldn't refuse and I bought his last Megabass Orochi XX F4½-68XX Jerkbait Special. With the reel I plan on using mounted on it, it feels amazing and it seems to have a perfect tip for those jerkbaits.
It was hard to let go of the Dobyns warranty but this rod gets rave reviews and felt every bit of what I was looking for!
I am hoping I am as pleased with it during the fishing season as I am write now but all signs are pointing that I will be!

Congrats on your purchase, you will not regret buying this rod!

Thinking of grabbing a 2014 Scorpion or Metanium(JDM) but I haven't decided yet... Let's wait and see what the Curado I looks like.

I once owned a 705CB that I was using for square-bills.
I liked it but felt that (5 power) was impeding the action of the square-bills.
I sold it and purchased the 764CB RM.
I have been using the 764 for three seasons and it is by far my favorite crank-bait rod.
Thanks for the info Frank!!
I was looking at that rod as a dedicated square-bill rod. I already have big brother and the 764 seemed like the perfect rod for what I want it for.
Hope to see you and Marc soon,

Good to hear from you. I try to go at Paddletales on Thursday nights but not always possible.
Ed is having his yearly Chicken Fest on the weekend of February 22, 23 and 24.
We will be there on Friday 22nd.
As for the information about those cranking rods, as mentioned in an earlier post by Adam and Norm,
I really have to give credit to Ian, he's the one that got me onto the 764CB RM.
