Shootout does it again!!!
Shootout Series is excited announce the acquisition of a Live Release Boat for the upcoming 2014 season. The live release boat will contain the most up to date technology in alignment with the best standards in live release systems. In addition, it will not be set up like traditional systems have been in the past. To ensure efforts of live release are as close to 100% as possible, the series is taking a different approach in how the fish are released from the boat. Series Live Release Technician, Scott Acheson says “we should not call it a live release boat, it should be called a fish management and rehabilitation center”.
“In order for Shootout to maintain relevancy in the tournament fishing market, we knew the next big step for us was a live release boat. It was necessary to keep up with standard of live release and the future of tournament angling. Thanks to the support of Scott Acheson, Orleans Boat World and Sports, Evinrude, Hookset Marketing, and Abu Garcia, they have made this possible” Says Cory Banford.
As the second year of operation, the Shootout Series is making huge strides in keeping up with their commitments to their anglers and sponsors.
“Although we have always ensured the safety of the fish, the Live Release Boat will limit the amount of work for our anglers as well as maintain a safe environment for the Bass during the weigh in.” says Trevor Sinnett.
Tournament director, Kevin McPhee, also added “this will help get boats moving faster away from the docks, help speed up the weigh-in process, and most important; have the fish back in water faster than before”.
As the Series continues to grow, Shootout is working hard to keep this the best open series for Anglers to fish. As they attribute all of their success to their anglers and sponsors, without the hard work of the coordinators and those involved in the operations of the series, they would not be able to provide the first class services they have managed to put out from the start.
It is clear that we will continue seeing growth and new surprises year after year from Shootout. You can see the new Live Release boat at the very first tournament of the season on the St. Lawrence River.
We would love to answer any questions and discuss any concerns. Please feel free to contact us cbanford@hotmail.com.

Re: SHOOTOUT does it again
Way to go Shootout!
That takes it up a notch boys!
This very awesome move will elimate a tonne of unnecessary bumper boating and congestion at the ramp and ensure that our resource (the bass) get a much better chance at post tournament survival especially when they need to be fizzed.
Keep the good news rolling Lads!!
